Mid-stride at WorldFest-Houston with Day Five, Tuesday, April 10 the exciting film line-up continues to unspool! This year is another great cornucopia for true film buffs offering several compelling World Premieres from over 70 Indie features; the Fourteenth Annual Italian Panorama with a comedic flair and great diversity; a fine contingency of films from India, South Africa, The Philippines; and much more! WorldFest-Houston extends through Saturday, April 14, and all screenings will be at the Memorial City Cinemark (310 Memorial Way).
The first half of the fest was jam-packed with everything you want in a film festival: fabulous parties, incredible films, and celebrity sightings. The festival kicked-off with Tim Disney in attendance for the world premiere of William, which was well-received by audience members. Bruno Chatelin, Head of https://filmfestivals.com/ jetted in from Paris bringing his bubbly élan and his camera of course! Eric Roberts supported his film Lone Star Deception (produced by Houstonian Ed DeZevallos) and received a WorldFest-Houston Lifetime achievement award for excellence in film. Billy Zane’s flight was rerouted to Austin due to the Sunday storm, so he drove in for the WorldFest premiere of Finding Harmony. American film critic Joe Leydon hosted a special pop-up seminar that featured a conversation with Kevin Sorbo (Director of Miracle in East Texas), Steve De Jarnatt (Director of Miracle Mile), and Richard Krevolin (Director of Attachments).
