
WorldFest was founded over 50 years ago as an International Film Society in August, 1961. WorldFest became the third competitive international film festival in North America, following San Francisco and New York. WorldFest is the oldest Independent Film & Video Festival in the World. It evolved into a competitive International Film Festival in April, 1968. It was founded by award-winning producer/director Hunter Todd to present a quality film festival for the Independent filmmakers.

We are closing with TATARA SAMURAI, from Japan, directed by Yoshinari Nishikori at 7pm on Sunday, April the 30th! The Panorama China Official Closing Night Film is SPECIAL ENCOUNTER, directed by Hwang Mi-Na - a Dalian Wanda Group Production. There are 9 Master Classes in many aspects of film/video production, including the use of Drones in filmmaking, Investing in Feature Films, how to obtain amazing free stock footage from NASA and many more important subjects! All Master Classes are held at the HQ Marriott Westchase Hotel with very special rates for Filmmakers and Filmbuffs. The Festival Club is located in the HQ Marriott Westchase Hotel for great networking with more than 1,000 Intl filmmakers attending over the ten-day festival.
